Sheppard Mission Log
Already Sector 009F is making an impression on my crew it flowed before us, breath taking as we look upon the Anomaly in Sector 009F, and the gaseous colors where stunning as we started to figure out what the anomaly was made of. The anomaly seemed to spread out over 8 light years in distance and width.
Scans of the Nebula revealed traces of protomatter and thoron particles, which seemed to be a bit of surprise especially so far away from the Alpha Quadrant. Already I’ve heard people whispering and calling it the Genesis Nebula. This however had unexpected results on the Sheppard. It seemed to mess with our scanners as well as put a drain on the ship. In order to investigate further I had the Sheppard pull back.
Engineering is still working on the why the ship would have gotten a drain on power and why Holodeck 2 would have caused it. They will also need to monitor the effects on the ship as we try reversing the polarity of the shields. So they would reflect versus dissipate the incoming particles.
We also picked up traces of what appears to be 3 Borg Probes or scout ships that have apparently been destroyed. This has me concerned we have not had to deal with the Borg in some time.
We will move forward with the adjustments to our shields and try to collect the Borg remains and see what more we can discover.
