Sheppard Mission Log
150809 – Planet or Machine?
We have been investigating the Genesis Nebula for nearly a month now. We have enough data that it will take the science teams months to work on. We have one last thing we really need to check out, and that is the structure in the middle. We have mixed reports that it could be a planet or something else. That both Borg and Genesis tech knowledge is involved has me both concerned and excited at what we might find.
We have our orders from Command to investigate further; however, they have also asked that data be filtered through top secret channels. I’ll leave much of that to my Intel staff.
- Move as close to the object as possible so our sensors can get an accurate reading. This will mean 100,000 kilometers. Anything outside that range will cause the degradation of our sensors to increase.
- After collecting data, determine if there is a place on the structure we can move close to by transporters or shuttles.
Its a good crew, and I’m sure of their abilities to handle this mission.
