Reporting: Cmdr Genny7 Markus - CO, Stardate 140105 We have been in Space dock over the holiday period and the engineers have done a magnificent job in getting the Armstrong space worthy. We headed out of the Space dock at 1/8 impulse with Captain Quar at the Helm. Once out of the Astraios system we went to warp 3 and headed for the Asteroid Belt.
All departments were checking their equipment out to make sure that we had everything working properly. Security's Commander Barbosa reported that she was experiencing a small malfunction in the aft phaser arrays, so she reported it to the Engineering department who sent a crew to repair it. Captain Quar also reported that he was having some minor malfunctions in the main screen. Also it seemed that the CMO was very unhappy with the medical equipment in sickbay as some of it had not been sterilised to his satisfaction.
Also I should mention that we had been joined by LtCol Colin Nemeth2 for the mission and he was helping Tactical with testing the weapons. Once we arrived at the Asteroid Belt, Commander Bravin scanned the area to pick out some asteroids for us to try out the weapons. We started with a small one and worked our way up to a much larger one. It was then that I asked the Transporter Chief to lock on to one piece from the largest asteroid and transport it back to the ship. Once we received a message from LT London that it had arrived safely in the Science department we fired one photon torpedo to complete our testing, and I then gave the order to return to SS Astraios at warp 4. We arrived and docked at dock 3. As we were powering down the stations and waiting for the beta bridge crew to arrive, we heard from LT London that the initial analysis of the piece of asteroid indicated that there was a foreign object embedded in it.
