An away team from the Sheppard beams down to a planet where they hope to find answers regarding the strange device attacking the Captain's brain.

Following the recent incident with the mysterious cargo we brought aboard the Sheppard from the disabled pirate craft, it is my gravest regrets to inform the crew that Captain Dwi has undergone startling mental changnes due to her exposure to the crate.
As a resulty of our interrogation of the pirate Grob it has been found that these may be side effects relating to a certain type of payload for a weapon that a group of mercs are acquiring.
The aim of this offworld mission today will be to find the mercs or a trace of their weapon and see if we can attemept to halt the spread of the neural effects on the captains brain.
Have fun. Good luck.
In search of information about the mercenaries, the Sheppard away team beamed down to a planet where they first used a sort of deserted nightclub as cover to hack into the computer grid - where they did find trace that the pirate commander currently in the ship's brig had indeed been here. Moving on to another area which was curiously shielded from scans, the away team found another bar, where they found evidence of strangely altered beings - and Operations Officer Pema Nakamura fell under the thrall of a Borg-type nanobyte-emitting plant which, she claimed, "led" her - and the rest of the away team - to a shielded building. This structure harbored a device which the away team identified as a nanobyte nullifier - used either as a weapon or to genetically alter beings. When they tried to pry the device open, an alarm went off and the Executive Officer ordered the away team back to the ship.
