On a planet in the middle of its industrial age, away teams from the Sheppard find structures powered by UFS technology... namely, parts from the missing USS Denmark.

Captain's log, Stardate 100710.

The Sheppard crew have managed to extract several bits of useful information on the Nabraithians from the data we have collected, mainly around their medical techniques - which are barbaric to say the least. However, some useful information we have managed to gather is some partial navigational logs from the Nabraithian probe. As this is our only lead to the whereabouts of the Denmark, we will have to follow it up. The records show the Nabraithian probe spent several days in the Fatima system, so I've set course for this system and the Sheppard will be investigating.

Computer, end log.

In part 1 of this two-part mission, Commander Pema Nakamura and Lieutenant j.g. Cordova Marabana beamed down to a planet in a Fatima system, where they found infrastructures powered by UFS technology - more specifically, parts from the missing USS Denmark. This was highly unusual for an industrial-age civilization whose technology was mainly driven by steam and fossil fuels. A second away team a few days later identified the UFS technology as the impulse drive fusion reactors from the Denmark. Upon Further Investigation, it was discovered that the reactors were being used to assist in mining operations on the planet.

Subsequent scans pinpointed the location of the control room for the mining operations, and a final away team was sent to investigate. After a struggle with crab-like beings, the away team explored the habitation section of the control room and found a device similar to a Borg alcove in a small room. This led Science officer Kaelin Odriscoll to conclude that the Nabraithians, as cyborg beings need both rest in a biological sense (sleep) therefore the beds and some basic nourishment providing the essentials for their biological body.
