XO Log, Stardate: 130715.0924

On what should have been a routine return from a command level conference on the surface of Pinastri, Co CAPT Thallanor rasmuson, and XO FCAPT Siobhan Crystal were suddenly attacked by unknown craft and taken prisoner. There was no communication and no warning, and no recollection of what happened since both officers awakened in holding cells in what appeared to be an old abandoned prison. Both Rasmuson and Crystal had been relieved of not only their weapons, but most of their clothing, including belts and, in FCAPT Crystal's case, her boots. The prison itself was old, dilapidated, its walls covered with what appeared to be a green slimy fungus. Upon examination of their separate cells, Crystal discovered the walls were not solid. The force field forming the doorway, also seemed to be an old-fashioned electrical charge, which FCAPT Crystal discovered when an arc leapt to meet the ring that what on her finger and giving her a sudden, surprising, but not injurious shock.

It was determined that the walls could possibly be breached. CAPT Rasmuson having hooves was able to do this, reach in and disable the field to his cell, then went to to the console and de-activated the field to Crystal's door. He also found their clothing, sans weapons, piled near the console and both dressed. There were no alarms and no one in the compound. While searching the complex they found a stellar map which indicated they had been thrown off course by some 400 light years. This was confirmed when the soon found their runabout waiting in a hangar and unharmed. More disturbing was that no more than a day had passed since they encountered to the beings who attacked them.

The decision was made to leave the prison rather than wait, and CAPT Rasmuson took the runabout slowly away from the asteroid that held the prison. Once again there was no alarm, no outside presence. Only the overwhelming feeling that escape was way too easy and that they were being watched kept them from celebrating any kind of escape.

In Service,

FCAPT Siobhan Crystal
