The crew of the USS Sheppard undergoes experiments at the hands of their alien captors.

Prelude

The Sheppard crew have been captured by unknown aliens while trying to escape an unknown anomaly they were trapped in. The information we do know is that the unknown hostiles appear to be a mix of the mercenaries that attacked Pinastri and another unknown controlling species.

What we do know is that they appear to be mechanoid in appearence and have so far shown no emotional behaviour common with most humanoid species.

The crew have also been separated into small groups. Not knowing where most of the crew are, it's up to these small groups to find a way out.

Events

Several Sheppard crew members, including the captain, found themselves in a cold and sterile-looking holding cell. Aliens came for Commander Dwi and then for Ensign Marabana, experimenting upon them both, with terrifying results - both were fitted with an artificial, metallic arm and injected with a substance that made their skin turn silver. Meanwhile, Chief of Operations Pema Nakamura and Chief of Security Otheno Floresby tried to find a way to escape. Despite a brush with experimentation themselves, they managed to get to a secure location where they could send an S.O.S. to Sheppard.

On the Sheppard, Chief Engineer Generaal Joubert had managed to exit the Jefferies tubes and get back to Engineering, where he'd devised a plan to release neurotoxin-bearing nanites through the life-support systems in order to incapacitate the invaders on the ship. Once he had secured the bridge, he had tried to scan for lifesigns but, as the atmosphere of the planet the Sheppard was orbiting was too thick, had decided to land the ship. Once on the ground, he managed to get a fix on most of the crew and transport them back.

The ship was taken off the ground and back into orbit, where a single mercenary vessel was patrolling. It was taken down by Sheppard.
