The Astro Sciences is the scientific study that deals with the origin, evolution, composition, distance, and motion of all bodies and scattered matter in the universe. It is not to be confused with Astrology, which is a non-scientific set of beliefs about the influence of heavenly bodies on human affairs. The Astro Sciences is one of 6 Divisions within the UFS Science Branch.
On stardate 100726, Lt Commander Jorden Allen was assigned to be the division head for the Astro Sciences.
