The Vice Commander of the United Federation Starfleet Marine Corps is the Deputy Commandant. Among several responsibilities, The Deputy Commandant of the Marine Corps is the assistant and second to the Commandant, as well as the Chief of the Support Staff. They are prepared to step into the role of the Commandant in time of need. The Deputy Commandant is appointed by the Commandant of the United Federation Starfleet Marine Corps.
