Biography
Rex Altham remembers little of his past, and even less is on record. Born on Canus IV, he was often considered a lesser amongst his people. Two other Canian's of the Canis sub-species took him in as their own, but only because he was of Canian descent. As a young boy, he had little pride, determination and self preservation. He bent to others will on demand, regardless of who they were. His softness was often taken advantage of, both by his caretakers and others of his world. A deep sadness and wanting for a better life grew in the boy, dreaming of a brighter future as many of his kind did. As he grew older, he heard of the staggering Khittomer Wormhole to the Delta Quadrant. Knowing that one point it'd only be accessible once every other year, and shortly beyond, after every 2 years pass, he decided to jump at the chance to join a new world where he could perhaps find his true destiny. Joining the colony on Pinastri Prime, Rex found himself in pleasant company under the influence of the United Federation Starfleet. He took an interest in the medical field as he discovered he was unusually different from his species and those around him, having a few naturally occurring genetic mutations that set him apart. Further interested by UFS's goals of exploration, he signed up to begin his training and one day become a Medical Officer. Rex finds his life to be superior now, where he can fulfill his own goals as well as aiding others in their own. Recently touring the USS Cochrane after a lengthy travel time, he has remained on board since with the permission of Commander Nakajima. Rex already feels at home... but his true journey's are only just beginning aboard the vessel.
