The M45 is a phased energy weapon and standard issue for all UF Starfleet Marines as a sidearm.

History

First designed and issues in 2315 and has gone through many redesigns.

Design Statistics

The M45 is a phased energy weapon that uses the Omni III Power Cell. It varies from the Starfleet Phaser II that it has an electable power clip which is housed in the handle.

Modifications

• Mark I - Original Unit.
• Mark II - Upgrade hardening against radiation interference.
• Mark III - Modification to accept new power cell.
• Mark IV - Upgrade to firing chamber increasing accuracy.
• Mark V - New construction making casing stronger and lighter.
• Mark VI - Modification for increased accuracy and lower power drain.
• Mark VII - Modification for the Omni III Power Cell
