Biography
Born to renown ASDB Engineer Commodore Yuchiro Nakajima, and Astrophysicist Commander Susan Nakajima, on October 23, 2392, at the Tycho City Medical Center, Tycho City, Luna Colony.

Lan grew up at Utopia Planetia Shipyards, Starbase 12 and Earth as his mother moved around, and his father remained on Mars performing various duties for Starfleet. 5 years before his birth, his father helped work out the final design stages for the Verity Class Starship, earning him a promotion to Commodore for his Engineering skills. He and his wife moved back to Delphis Prime for several years to relax and try and start a family. In the summer months of 2392, Susan Nakajima was informed by her physician that she was pregnant, and later on in the fall gave birth to twin boys.

Several months later in 2393, Starfleet called Commodore Nakajima back into service to help with the further development of the Odyssey Class Starship, and the Fleet Formation System which he highly opposed. Due to the nature of his work, Commodore Nakajima sent his two young children with his wife, who was stationed aboard the USS Titan as an Astrophysicist. The family remained split for several years as the children grew up, Commodore Nakajima being offered the position as lead designer at the Copernicus Yards, and his wife being transferred to Starbase 12 as their Chief Science Officer.

The rest of his childhood remained fairly uneventful, every year he and his brother would switch out parents, moving back and forth between Mars and Starbase 12, until the Borg Incident of 2401. Both children were spared from assimilation and danger from the Borg due to their being on the O'Possai Homeworld during the event. Commander Susan Nakajima was handpicked by Admiral Crusher to be Head Science Liaison in weeding out the Changeling threat.

After the Incident, both children moved with their Mother on Earth, where they remained until completing school. During a trip to Cestus III, Lan devveloped Altarian meningitis, which rapidly affected his nervous system, prompting his parents to seek medical help on their homeworld. After several months in Stasis, Lan's nervous system was successfully supplemented with bio-Neural circuitry, as well as the replacement of his optic nerves and eyes with cybernetics.

Upon turning 18 Rhys expressed interest in moving back to the homeworld to start a career in Politics, While Lan decided to apply to Starfleet and follow in his father's footsteps. Lan transferred to the Delta Quadrant campus of the Academy hoping to be on the forefront of exploration and to put his skills to use innovating on the new frontier.

After countless postings and dabbling in a bit of politics himself as Chief of Staff to the Starfleet CinC, Lan has recently come off a stint as CO of Pinastri Colony, and has settled into the role he was meant to have as an Engineer.
