Biography | |||||
I was born at the medical center in Denas Starport on Andoria, but my earliest memory is as a young child running around my mother?s legs as she worked in engineering on the freighter we lived on, the Saucy Dancer. Though I?m Andorian, it was never my home. Sure, we visited from time to time, but they were never extended stays. My father died shortly before I was born, defending my mother and I from some Nausicaan Pirates. My mother raised me in our ways and traditions, but I?ve never really felt the need to go back to Andoria and worry about things like bondmates and such.
Life on the Dancer wasn?t always sunshine and roses, as I think the Earth expression goes, but it wasn?t bad either. I got interested in Medicine early on. Looking back, I think that stems from my mother telling me about my father, and how the Dancer didn?t have a medic onboard that could save him. I eventually became the medic for the Dancer. I learned as much as I could, but I wanted to learn more. I wanted to become an actual Doctor. I didn?t want to leave my mother behind though. She did so much for me, and supported me in everything I wanted. I was reluctant to leave her behind on the freighter, but before too long, that choice was made for me. There was an accident in Engineering, resulting in a hull breach. My mother and the other Engineers in the compartment were sucked into space before emergency forcefields snapped into place. After mourning her loss, nothing seemed the same on the Dancer, so this felt like the time to move on, so I applied to Starfleet and Medical school. I work to continue to better myself and honor my parents. | |||||
