Current Location: 15Ly from the edge of the Kaliem Galaxy

Commanding Officer's Log, Stardate 130316,

While cruising at warp 7, the Protector had to stop to cool down the engines. We dropped out at a quiet location and began the cooling cycles. 3 ships suddenly appeared of what our scanners indicated to be some kind of wormholes. They hailed us and requested us to surrender our crew to serve as slaves, I obviously refused... I ordered the ship to go to red alert. They started to open fire, we responded and managed to damage their ship enough to make them leave. We sustained heavy damage as well, and our engines, unresponsive were taking us into a forced landing on a nearby planet. After a shaky descent in the atmosphere of the planet we landed in a snowy area. Explorations teams were sent in shuttles to explore the planet's surface.
