History
The Bellerophon class is based upon the iconic Intrepid class, but with a more advanced design, features and systems. The Bellerophon class has a unique half-moon shaped main deflector and distinctive blue bussard collectors, as well as the whiter hull color found in 25th century starship designs. While overtly similar to the intrepid class in the modular design, going on to retain the ability to eject entire decks, should the need arise.
The Bellerophon class departs from the intrepid class in numerous ways such as possessing far more R&D laboratories, heavier armaments and hull plating, with advanced systems and features and also coming with a quantum slipstream drive and astrometrics laboratory, there are a few other features that make this ship class stand out in a league of its own..
