History

The USS Caracas, NCC 74305 is a Defiant Class Starship launched in 080726 after being rechristened from the USS Lassen NX-74255 under the command of Ensign Lyis Hirano after being refit with several experimental technology including a "Holo- Masking" System and Sensor Pallet array. On 090218 following extensive refits to return the ship to a more traditional Defiant Class vessel the Caracas we reclassed from NX to NCC and placed under the command of Admiral Stevan Seriman. Following extensive damage to the ship on 100718 Admiral Stevan Seriman stands down as commander and retires. The vessel is relaunched under the command of Captain Salak after over a month of extenisve repairs and crew transfers and was dispatched to patrol the spinward edge of the Syllerran Rift.
