The USS Shogun needs to make her way to a rendezvous point without being detected by the two Hirogen hunting ships that are stocking her.
Location: 199.33LY Trailing Pinastri System, Sector 014E
Alert Status: RED
Our repairs continue and we have started to cautiously limp our way to the rendezvous site. At this point it should take over two weeks before we arrive. We frequently 'pull over' to an anomaly or into a nebula to exact repairs. Our situation is still fairly critical, although many systems are back on and running adequately as long as we don't push the systems. Caution is the order of the day, however, we have found a way to send a brief subspace message to Command in order to give them an update as to our status.
CMDR Teichmann is drilling all personnel on proper procedure in terms of attack and incursion training. He wants to be ready for possible boarding scenarios. They continuously sweep the sector with the help of LTCMDR Kelberry in Sciences and LT Firelight in Operations.
LT Firelight effectively contacted the Ambassador (Reference key 110705 Communiation Log ). Since that time, she has been coordinating power usage and other onboard emergency programs.
CAPT Baxton has his hands full with the repairs. Members of other departments have been retasked to him as necessary and available. They have managed to get us underway at low warp, but we frequently stop for 'rests' and to allow other repairs. In a sense, we are testing their repairs as we go.
Doctor Kuhr continues to care for Doctor Skytower and others who were injured. He also has been insuring medical inventories are stocked and ready in case of further problems.
CMDR Heinkel has helped to keep things organized.
Currently we are continuing silent running status. Our hope is that we avoid more Hirogen hunting parties in the future as we try to get back to Pinastri Sector.
Computer End Log
The USS Shogun was still effecting repairs from damage that occurred in her recent battle with the Hirogens The ship's computer and replicators were finally brought back online, and they began to test the warp system repairs, starting at a low warp speed and increasing in increments of ½ warp. Some minor problems surfaced and adjustments were made until she was able to hold warp six with no problems.
At one point, tactical detected sensor ghosts. Engineering and Operations worked together to check the long range sensors, as well as to apply filters that would eliminate ghosts. Shortly after that, Tactical determined the apparent sensor ghost was really a Hirogen ship tracking the Shogun. Captain Ulrich Bechir ordered helm to bring her about and a battle ensued. The Shogun took damage during the battle, including a hull breech, loss of environmental systems on deck 9 and loss of the replicators. However, the damage to the Hirogen vessel was much worse, including a breech on their warp reactor. The Shogun hailed the Hirogen vessel and offered assistance, but their offer was refused. Shortly after that the Hirogen ship exploded, killing all who were on board.
The USS Shogun moved to a close orbit of a Gas Giant, where she would be unlikely to be detected by any other Hirogen hunting ships. The crew began working on repairs.
