Captain's log, stardate 110529.1608. The situation is dire. We havn't been able to come up with a successful plan against our enemies, nor find Commander Meredith. Hope is fading fast, and I fear all may be lost. Hopefully, we can throw everything we have at them and it'll be enough. If not....we're done for.

The USS Talisman would finally escape from the Relknok worldship on stardate 110529. The Relknoks had made yet another invasion onto the Talisman and began to engage the crew. Shortly into the Relknok breach, the two entities known to the crew of the Talisman as The Guardian and The Sentinel appeared on the ship and began clearing out the Relknoks and with their omnipotent powers held them at bay form coming back aboard. They stated that the Relknoks were a race from outside our known space and that their invasion should not be happening. It was for this reason they were allowed to assit the Talisman, but not save them due to their own version of the Prime Directive. From that point, the two beings departed the Talisman and efforts were put underway to departe the alien ship. Lt. Commander Lans Starsider had put into action a modification of the Borg defenses developed for the shields that nullified the Relknoks hold on the ship. Once done, Lt. Commander Starsider and Lt. Gavilan began working on a way to upload the Relknok's gateway technology to give the ship an instant way home. After indicating that Commander Meredith was still alive, Captain Jackson T. Jayaram and Ensign Jayce Raymaker made their way onto the Relknok worldship to recover her.
Using bladed melee weapons coated in an acidic poison developed by Doctors Genna Thiemen-Jayaram and Linzee Mavendorf from a sample a Relknok blood and personal shield generators, Jayaram and Raymaker were able to go over and recover Commander Meredith, albeit just barely. Once back onboard the ship, the Talisman began to get underway and escape the vessel. The ship came under fire as it made its way out, using quantum torpedoes to open a hole in the outer hull of the vessel. The hull easily opened as it was made of organic matter like everything else they had encountered. Once outside, the ship continued to fall under enemy fire as they prepared to open a gateway back to the Pinastri system using the stolen Relknok program. Science noted that the program shared numerous similarities to the Iconian's technology that allowed them the usage of interstellar gateways. The Talisman was able to pass through the open gateway and returned home after a month of entrapment. A third of the crew was lost during the incident, with many more injured. The program stolen from the Relknok's was saved to an isolated isolinear chip to be turned over to Starfleet Reasearch and Development. The Talisman offloaded it's personnel at SS Tranquility, and was then towed to SS Cascadia for refit and repairs in dry dock.
