Captain's log, stardate 110807.1438. The Talisman has completed repairs at starbase 427 and has returned to the area where the USS Bonefish was last reported to be. We have no leads on her whereabouts, so we will continue in a standard search pattern. On an additional note, my wife and Chief Medical Officer, Commander Genna Thiemen-Jayaram remains in what appears to be a coma. Dr. Mavendorf and my medical staff have no idea what caused the coma or what to do for her, but Dr. Mavendorf has advised that the doll she picked up at Jalno III not be removed from her hand. We are working tirelessly to bring her back around...

Starship Talisman took on board a Captain Cretas Novarti of the Melnovan Rebellion. Novarti relayed information that the Melnovan Consortium had captured a UFS starship of unknown designation. As the Talisman was tasked with locating the UFS starship USS Bonefish (NPC Ship), and it was last reported in the region, Talisman began to investigate the area. The Talisman located two warp trails, one belonging to a small Federation transport, the other to a B'Rel Class Klingon Bird of Prey. A wide band message made it clear that the Bird of Prey was under the employ of the Orion Syndicate and it had taken the transport vessel, along with it's crew and passengers, as their hostage.
Noting the need to rescue the hostages while at the same time defending them from harm, Talisman's Executive Officer Lieutenant Josie Sauber recommended using the ship's unique ability to separate in order to complete the task. After a small skrimish both between the Talisman and the Bird of Prey and on board the transport, the Orion personnel surrendered and were transferred to Talisman's brig for questioning and holding until a proper transport could be arranged to starbase.
